Many of you have enjoyed Heidi’s dahlia gardens, so we asked Heidi why she started this garden at Wild Rice.

“The dahlia is my favorite flower because they have such huge personalities, and so many varieties. They live ‘big’ and ‘lively’ short lives while bringing so much joy. My mission is to create more beauty in the world, and the dahlia does just that.” Heidi Zimmer

We hope you enjoy the dahlias and they bring a little sunshine to your day too.

There’s something about time away together that builds trust. When H Window Company brought their top clients to Wild Rice this fall, we saw working relationships turn into lasting partnerships, one shared experience at a time.

If you’re imagining a retreat for your own team or clients comment the word Team to learn more. We’d love to help you plan it.

This midweek reset reminder is about warmth and rest. As the temperatures begin to drop take a moment to harmonize your body to the change of the season by:

•Starting your day with a warm digestive tea or warm lemon water with a tiny pinch of cayenne and honey to stoke the digestive fire

•Staying warm by covering your head, neck, hands and feet in soft blankets or clothing

• Enjoying a sauna or hot bath with essential oils

•Playing soothing music that invites joy and/or ease into your daily rhythm

• Preparing warm meals such as soups and stews. Accompany it with roasted root vegetables from this years harvest

•Ending the night in self reflection possibly with a gratitude journal to prepare for rest

What lifestyle modifications do you make to adapt to the cooler season and darker nights?

“Once you get here, you park, and then you really don’t have to worry about anything else.”

We know what it’s like to be faced with decision after decision. Therefore, a primary goal of ours is to reduce your decision fatigue when you stay with us.

Wake up and know you will have 2 nourishing meals that are pre-planned by us, so you don’t have to decide what to eat. Classes are pre-scheduled if you feel like jumping in to move your body, or maybe express yourself creatively through a hands on class. We know rest is important too, so we designed our Pods and Treehaus’ with a minimalist warm style, so you can do just that.

All we ask is you come as you are and let us handle the rest.
