Okay… meet the newest addition to Wolfsong—
❤️🐾Zara! 🐾❤️

The plan was to bring her straight into the working kennel, but I couldn’t help myself and introduced her to the retirees first. And almost immediately, Blondie claimed her. 🥹 Of all the dogs, Blondie was the LAST one I expected to step into the role of mama dog—but there she was, sticking close to Zara, showing her the ropes and becoming her mentor/sidekick.

For now, Zara gets to play in the water, socialize, explore and simply be a puppy with the retirees and domestic crew. Eventually she’ll move into the working kennel and start learning the sled dog life—but not yet. ❤️

We’re pretty excited to watch this little one grow.

Do you remember Cheese & Burger?! 🧀🍔 How could you forget?!

Believe it or not, these two are just shy of ONE YEAR OLD! 🎉 (9.10.25 birthday)

The seasons are changing, coats are shedding, and their personalities are really starting to shine.

And WOW—is Cheese starting to emulate her mama, Manawan! 😍🐾 It’s such a lovely thing to watch these dogs grow, change, and become more themselves every day.

Too early to put a ton of weight in but it does get us all excited! Bring on winter!

❄️ WORST OF WINTER 2026–2027? ❄️

This winter could bring a highly volatile pattern featuring Arctic blasts, major temperature swings and plenty of snow surprises!

The pink area highlights where the more active snow opportunities could develop—from the central Plains through the Midwest, Great Lakes, Ohio Valley and Northeast. The lighter purple zone represents areas that could experience a combination of snow, sleet, freezing rain and cold rain when Arctic air pushes far enough south.

⚠️ This is an early winter outlook—not a specific storm forecast. It does not mean every storm will produce winter weather across these entire areas.
