Have you met Guapo, our handsome 100% Chukchi boy!?🐾

You might notice a little shepherd-like look in him. That can trace back to when Soviet breeding programs introduced shepherd-type dogs into some Chukchi lines for military use, and every now and then that color and structure still pops through.

We’re especially excited about the Chukchi dogs because they tend to be people-oriented and naturally want to stick closer, which is something we’re continuing to encourage with Guapo as he spends more time out and about with us.

Smart, social, handsome, and full of personality — Guapo is already teaching us a lot. 💛

Meet Guapo 💛🐾

We landed on the name because, well… just look at him. He is so handsome, and somehow even sweeter than he looks. We are so excited to welcome this beautiful boy into the Wolfsong family and can’t wait to watch him grow, learn, and find his place with the team.

A huge thank you to Deb Serbousek for opening this opportunity to Wolfsong. We are grateful, excited, and already completely smitten. Welcome home, Guapo! 🐶✨

💙We’re always sad to see the season come to an end, but this one gave us a lot to smile about. Several dogs truly stepped up, surprised us, and grew into new roles in the team this winter. We’re so proud of what they accomplished. The snow may be leaving, but the fun isn’t over — stay tuned for pupdates, silly moments, and more from the dogs during the off-season. 🐾

A significant winter storm will be arriving into the Northland this evening, bringing intense snowfall rates this evening into tonight. Heaviest snowfall amounts in excess of 12" are expected around Lake Superior, especially in the higher elevations of the North Shore and Bayfield Peninsula. Avoid traveling this evening and tonight if possible.
