The Raines family wants to start off by thanking everyone that was involved with anything to do with Bay City Fox Preserve.

Bay City Fox Preserve has been sold by the previous owner and will no longer be in commision as a fox preserve. The new owners have new plans for the land in which they have purchased. A lease has been offered and has been denied to allow it to remain a fox preserve.

As the days go by we are continuing to remove all of our belongings from there at this time. The new owners have allowed us time to catch any leftover game as well and are transferring those to surrounding pens.

Joe and Kenly again want to thank everyone that had a hand and showed their patronage throughout the years. We are saddened to know that it was sold and no lease agreement could be reached. We are glad to know that some very big benefits were held here as well as the amount of good times we all had.

Parts of the wire will be beginning to go down soon. Sadly, not many more of these preserves of this size are being made anymore, and it is at times hard to accept this closing.

Thank you everyone for your helping hand in what we had and what has been.

May the sounds of a hound never die.

I am sure many of you have seen the listing on Mossy Oak Properties for Bay City Fox Preserve. Bay City is indeed, up for sale.

Joe and Kenly Raines are still operating the property as if it has never been listed and will continue to do so, until the property is sold.

The upcoming year if not sold will be operated at the same pace and as usual. Will be stocked with game and field trials will be held until the day it is signed over.

The fox pen is not the issue with the owner or the operators, and there is no issue between the owner and operators; but for unforeseen reasoning it has been listed For Sale.

I have had many questions about why it is being sold. If it does sell, I hope it is still a fox preserve that allows the running of hounds.

Strong group of hounds at the 1Day Masters at Bay City for the month of April. Ran hard for 4 hours and was packed up the whole entire time.

Game held up great and we had some judges that hustled today and worked their tails off.

Congratulations to The Sparrow Boys on the win with hound #42 Rose by Armstrong’s Killa x Gaskins Princess B.

We will see everyone next time at the May 7th Down East Benefit Hunt and at the end of May for the 2 Day Lickie D Split Memorial Derby.

We are trying to cast earlier than 7. So we are aiming for 6:30.

Roll Call will be at 6:15 and cast will be at 6:30.

Hunt is Saturday, March 19.

$150 per dog.

Paying back 1 place per 10 dogs.
Top 10 recognized regardless.

This hunt is Masters Leaderboard eligible.
