MANDATORY AAA SUMMER DEAD PERIOD & FACILITY CLOSURES
Starting this Sunday, June 21st, our athletic programs will observe the annual Arkansas Activities Association (AAA) Summer Dead Period, which runs through Sunday, July 5th.
This mandatory, statewide break is a wonderful opportunity for our hard-working student-athletes and coaches to completely disconnect, rest, and enjoy some well-deserved summer vacation time with their families!
To ensure our district stays strictly compliant with state regulations, please keep the following rules in mind over the next two weeks:
🚫 No Coach-Player Contact: School coaches (including licensed teachers and registered volunteers) are strictly prohibited from holding practices, voluntary workouts, or athletic meetings of any kind.
🚫 Total Facility Shutdown: All campus athletic facilities—including our gyms, weight rooms, and fields—are completely closed to student-athletes, youth teams, and independent workouts.
🛠️ Bonus: Our maintenance teams will be taking full advantage of this quiet time to perform deep cleanings and facility upgrades across the district!
We appreciate our community's full cooperation in protecting our athletic programs' compliance. Have a safe, happy, and relaxing summer break, and we look forward to seeing everyone back on campus on Monday, July 6th!
