From one tri club community to another we’d like to express our deepest condolences to Frisco Triathlon Club in Texas who tragically lost two of their members, Andre Kocher and Scott Mages, while out on a group ride.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Scott and Andre’s respective families.

IRONMAN LOVE STORY: SWIFT AND KELCE GET “ENGAGED” AT TRANSITION TENT

In a shocking development that has the endurance world buzzing, international pop sensation Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce have announced their engagement — not at a concert or football game, but at T1 of an Ironman 70.3.

Witnesses say Kelce popped the question while still dripping wet from the swim, fumbling with his bike shoes as he nervously pulled a ring out of his Bento box. “I figured she’d say yes,” Kelce explained, “but I was mostly worried about incurring a transition penalty.”

Swift, clad in her custom “You Belong With Me” tri-suit, reportedly paused mid–body glide reapplication and replied: “I knew you were trouble when you drafted me on the bike… but yes.”

According to race officials, the pair plans to celebrate their union by training together: Swift is taking on the swim leg (“Shake It Off” doubles as her warm-up drill), while Kelce has vowed to focus on climbing hills, calling it “less painful than playing in Arrowhead in January.” The run will be their signature event, with the couple alternating verses of Swift’s songs as motivational mantras at each aid station.

The wedding is rumored to resemble an Ironman finish line more than a traditional ceremony: GU packets in place of wedding cake, finisher medals instead of rings, and Mike Reilly himself announcing, “You are… husband and wife!”

When asked about honeymoon plans, Swift grinned: “We’re tapering.”

Swim, Bike, Run and Fun! Join us at our 2025 Tri Camp for an exciting weekend of training clinics and organized events including the 5th Annual Team Tri!

Lodging reservations are now open for Salt Fork State Park Lodge! A limited number of rooms and cabins are available! Reservations can be made by calling the lodge directly at 1-740-435-9000. Please ask for the Cleveland Triathlon Club room discount to get a reduced rate.

The block consists of 10 rooms (2 queens) and 3 cabins (hillside). The rooms and cabins will be held until April 6th. After the 6th rooms are released back to the lodge if not booked. We strongly encourage everyone to book early as it is also a big trail race weekend! The lodging reservation can be canceled so if you’re considering attending camp but are undecided you may want to consider reserving a room with the option of canceling.

Registration for Camp will be open soon with all the fine details.
