⚾🥎 League Update & Important Information

We have received multiple calls, messages, and comments regarding the previous signup post and questions about whether there will be a league this year. We want to provide clarity and transparency.

At this time, signups are temporarily on hold. We are currently in contact with the city and county to obtain permission to use the fields and to ensure everything is properly in place. Once this situation is finalized, we will make another post with updated signup dates and details.

Regarding the increase in registration fees, the league is starting this season with no existing funds. The league is a nonprofit organization. In previous years, the league relied heavily on sponsors, as well as support from the city and county. Unfortunately, those resources are not fully available this year.

Expense breakdown includes:
• Insurance for each child: approximately $35 per player (pending confirmation of current rates)
• Uniforms for each child
• Field lighting costs for evening games

At last year’s registration fee of $85, after insurance costs, only about $50 per child would remain for uniforms.

Additionally, some board members have volunteered to use personal funds to help get the concession stand started.

We completely respect everyone’s decisions regarding participation and truly appreciate your patience and understanding. We look forward to getting everything finalized and moving forward with signups and practices soon.

The West Jasper Recreation Association will be holding its annual members meeting Sunday, August 3rd 2025 at 6pm at the ballpark. This meeting is to elect new officers and/or board members. Per the by laws only coaches and assistant coaches are able to vote.

We will be voting on President, Vice President, Secretary/treasurer and 2 new board members.

If you are interested in any of these positions please message me but names will be taken from the floor, and you have to be present to be nominated and voted on.

Not only did our boys win State, WE also won the SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD! West Jasper, THANK YOU for representing us well everywhere we go! This is yet another great accomplishment!
