NJCAA ALL-AMERICAN 🇺🇸

Maximo Yanez of San Pedro, Argentina, earns NJCAA First Team All-American honors after winning the Flight 6 Singles Championship! Facing two match points in the third set of the semifinals, Maximo willed himself back into the match, winning in a third set tiebreaker. Facing Wallace State in the finals, Maximo battled from 2-5 down in the third set to win in a tiebreaker! Here’s his journey to the championship🥇

Round of 16: 6-0, 6-1 v. College of Lake County
QF: 6-4, 6-3 v. Prairie State
SF: 6-4, 1-6, 7-6 v. Mississippi Gulf Coast
Final: 2-6, 7-5, 7-6 v. Wallace State

NJCAA ALL-AMERICAN 🇺🇸

Alvaro Velasco of Madrid, Spain, earns NJCAA First Team All-American honors after winning the Flight 4 Singles Championship! After dropping the first set in the finals 4-6, Alvaro battled back to win 6-3, 6-1 v. Wallace State.

What a year! The Yotes finish national runner-up, the best finish in school history! 🥈

We are so proud of the way these young men forged a brotherhood over the past two years. Day after day, they worked towards perfection on the court, in the community, and in the classroom. They sacrificed for one another, pushed one another, and loved each other beyond culture differences. What they have accomplished as men will serve them well in the next stage of life.

Take a bow, Gentlemen. You earned it.
