The Frankenmuth Sports Network is back for another season of live broadcast of Frankenmuth Eagles Football. Play-by-play announcer Matt Feinauer and color commentator Joe Jacobs are back to give the pregame, live game action, and postgame reporting. Matt is entering his ninth season as the play-by-play voice of Eagles Football. Joe, an All-State quarterback for the Eagles in 1995 and also the varsity head girls’ basketball coach, started doing color commentating in 2020.
There are several ways to connect to the Frankenmuth Sports Network. Audio can be found by logging in to the Frankenmuthathletics.com website, click on the “More” tab, go to Broadcast heading and click Listen Live. You can also login to Meridex.com and in the search line type in Frankenmuth. Another way to connect is to go to Frankenmuthgameday.com and there will be a link to connect to. If one has a subscription to the NFHS video page, you will not only get live video but also live audio broadcast from the Frankenmuth Sports Network team. This NFHS connection would be only for home games.
The online broadcasts will begin at 6:30pm with pregame which will include an interview with Coach Phil Martin. Following the 7:00pm games, postgame wrap-up information with interviews with Coach Phil Martin after most home games. Occasionally there will be a halftime guest. The exception is the Eagles opening game August 25 at Michigan Stadium where the pregame show will begin at 11:30am.
The Frankenmuth Sports Network will also be broadcasting boy’s and girl’s basketball games this season and further information will be made available closer to those seasons.
