A HUGE thank you to everyone who came out and supported the 5th Annual Lumbermen 13U Golf Outing! ⛳️🧡💙

The rain tried its best to slow us down, but it definitely didn’t stop the fun! 🌧️😂 Seeing everyone come together, laugh, golf, and support these boys made the day another incredible success.

This outing is the biggest fundraiser of the year for our boys, and because of all of you, it was a HUGE success! From our golfers and sponsors to everyone who donated, volunteered, and helped make the day happen—we truly cannot thank you enough.

They say it takes a village, and this weekend was a perfect reminder of just how amazing our Lumbermen village really is. ❤️

Thank you for believing in these boys, supporting their journey, and helping create opportunities and memories they’ll never forget.

Rain didn’t stop us. The fun didn’t stop. And the support was unbelievable!

The roster is set, and we couldn’t be more excited to announce the Mid Michigan Lumbermen 13U Toporski/Shepherd team for the 2027 season! 🧡💙

These boys are ready to get to work, compete, and build something special together. We have a great mix of returning Lumbermen, new teammates, and a whole lot of talent, energy, and determination.

This isn’t just about baseball. It’s about building teammates, building character, and creating memories these boys will carry with them long after the final out.

Today wasn’t just the end of a tournament—it marked the end of an incredible chapter.

Five years ago, Coach Mike Freed took a group of 8-year-old boys and began teaching them far more than baseball. Through wins and losses, long practices, road trips, tournaments, championships, and countless memories, he helped shape these young athletes into young men.

Nine of these boys have been with him from the very beginning. They’ve grown up together, learned together, and competed together. The lessons they learned weren’t just about throwing strikes, hitting baseballs, or turning double plays. They learned accountability, teamwork, perseverance, respect, and what it means to be part of something bigger than yourself.

The trophies will eventually collect dust, and the scores will fade from memory, but the relationships, lessons, and memories created over the last five years will last a lifetime.

Coach Freed poured his heart into this team and these boys. The impact he has made reaches far beyond the baseball field, and every player, parent, and coach who has been part of this journey is better because of it.

Thank you, Coach Freed, for your time, your dedication, your leadership, and for believing in these boys from the very beginning.

What a ride it’s been.
