What a way to end the derby season for us!!
Between three shows this year, we had 226 drivers participating in them. Thatâs a feat a lot of people would take lightly. I always wanted to become a promoter when I knew my derbying days were winding down and wow is it different. There is alot to learn. Not only with behind the scenes stuff but also how to put friendships aside and tech all cars in a fair and timely manner. Did we miss things, yes, we absolutely did and we will learn from it.
I first want to thank all the drivers and spectators who attended or participated in our shows. You were all courteous and worked with us as we worked with you. The drama was kept to minimum and all the drivers did what they were there to do, wreck stuff. Spectators were exceptional and helped make our first year the best it could be.
Thank you to the Roberts Lions Club, Roberts-Warren Fire Department and rescue along with the Boyceville Fire Department and first responders. Also the local communities for bringing us in and letting us promote your shows. There are alot of other great promoters out there, but you gave us a chance and you are part of our success as well.
To our announcers, photographers, videographers, sponsors, skid loader drivers, all those that took part in the trunk or treat, as well the local fire departments and rescue crews. Thank you for sticking by us and putting in all the work to help us out. I look forward to working with you all in the future.
I canât thank my crew and there families enough for allowing them to take part in these events. I may have started this promotion thing but it takes all of you to help make this work. And for that I am forever grateful.
Last and certainly not least, I want to thank my wife, daughter and extended family. I give up a lot of family time being on the computer and responding to messages and answering phone calls, but you guys are there with me every step of the way to help fulfill my dream of doing this.
With all of that being said, I want to ask everyone to send a message on what you liked about the shows or what you would like to see improved on. What classes you want to or donât want to see. We are here for you and need your opinion to help make this get bigger and better.
If you would like to see us at your local fair or town festival, please reach out to those in charge, (fair boards and/or local organizations.) I will not reach out to them. I am friends with a lot of the local promoters so I donât want to step over boundaries and violate what they have going.
If you are a business or individual and would like to help us in the coming year, please reach out to us as well. We will be setting stuff up with different levels of sponsorship for the year once contracts start getting signed.
Keep an eye out for any updates or changes as well as our schedule of shows will be getting announced starting in early 2023.
There is so much time put in behind the scenes, but you all make it worth it.
The future is bright. Bigger and better things are coming in the next year!!!
