The spring season came to a more abrupt end than we anticipated today. Our plan was to play through May, but an injury-plagued season only worsened this weekend. After going 2-0 in pool play and earning the #1 seed heading into bracket play, we were left with only five able-bodied ladies available today, and our 18-game win streak came to an end in the semi-finals.

While it’s not the ending we envisioned, this group grew together and became increasingly connected as the season went by. They showed toughness, resilience, and heart all season long. We are incredibly proud of what these girls accomplished together this spring. Now it’s time to rest and recover before summer league and all the other summertime endeavors they have ahead before we get back to work sometime in July.

Thank you to all the families, supporters, sponsors and everyone who helped make this season special. The future is still very bright for this group.

Huge shoutout to all the Sting Family mothers this Mother’s Day! Thank you for all the time, sacrifice, and energy you put into hauling these ladies to practices and tournaments week after week. We appreciate everything you do to make this possible!

And thank you for supporting us today while we played up in the varsity-level bracket. The competition was some of the stiffest we’ve seen all season, and these girls still battled their way to a 3-0 day and brought home that pink hardware! Proud of this group and the toughness they continue to show every weekend. 💗🏀

Next week we head to Grand Rapids for Madness in May to wrap up the Spring season. Excited for the bonding we have in store for the weekend!

Since the double overtime heartbreaker at April Showers, our girls have responded by ripping off 13 straight wins over the last three weekends.

These last few weekends are stepping stones in a much bigger journey. Our focus is on developing these young women into leaders who will hopefully go on to compete for high school state championships in the years ahead.

Through adversity and success they continue to become more cohesive while building character, toughness, and a bond that goes beyond the court.

We’ve got a couple weeks left before the June dead period, and we plan to make the most of every opportunity.

Proud of the work they’re putting in and the way they’re continuing to grow together. No shortcuts, just consistent effort and buying into each other and what we are building.

We’re back at it tomorrow as we head down to Flint for what will surely be some tougher runs! Keep it up ladies!
