📣 GAMES TONIGHT ARE A GO 📣

We have communicated with South Tama and they are good for traveling down to play. We are aware of the potential incoming weather and will continue to monitor throughout the afternoon and evening.

We will have limited concessions tonight to allow for a faster and efficient clean up if the weather changes rapidly.

Improvements are being made all over our town and our Bolts Athletic Boosters are looking to make a massive improvement to our Football game day experience and our track and field meets!

An investment of this significance will be something that we benefit our Rec kids for years to come as they get older and become Bolts Athletes in Middle and High School.

A state of the art digital scoreboard will continue to strengthen Baxter’s efforts to stand out as a proud and growing community.

We all take pride in our community. Baxter Rec will continue to partner with our athletic boosters to help in any way we can to build a stronger future for our Bolts Student- Athletes.

Whatever amount you can give moves this project closer to the end goal. Every dollar you can give counts.

📣 Game Announcement 📣

Fields and games are good to go for tonight. We are being mindful of the incoming weather. We believe we have to get the games in tonight before the rain starts. But we will stay aware of the weather situation throughout the evening.

Please take care, there are a few areas of standing water near the parking area.

This webstore will close at noon on Tuesday, May 19th. If you select "DELIVER TO COORDINATOR" at checkout, your order will be available to pick up with Becka Jochems on Wednesday, May 27th.  You may have your order shipped for an additional cost and your order will ship after May 27th.

Our baseball and softball season are officially underway! We have had several businesses sponsor our season thus far. We have banners hung up in the outfield, so make sure to check them out. We want to take the time to thank them for helping to support our athletes. Over the last year, we have also had individual sponsors reach out and support us. We would like to thank the below individual sponsors for their contributions as well.

Our town is not only improving day by day, but we are planning for the next generation by updating our plan for the future and we need your input!

The City of Baxter is currently updating its Comprehensive Plan — an exciting opportunity to help shape the community’s future for the next 10-20 years.

We invite you to participate in any or all of the public engagement events throughout the process. Each event will focus on a different topic and provide opportunities to share your ideas and feedback.

Please come out to Chad Flora on June 8, provide your input and engage in a conversation with MIPA. Stay and enjoy watching some games. Your input will help shape our future.

The final open house will be held in a drop-in format, so feel free to stop by anytime between 4PM and 7PM, even if you only have a few minutes. Topics will range from recreation to housing and everything in between. We look forward to hearing your ideas for the future of Baxter!
