City of Battle Creek Recreation Department Welcome to the Battle Creek Recreation Department page! Battle Creek Parks and Recreation is a department of the City of Battle Creek, Michigan.

The Department offers a variety of recreation programs and services designed to encourage physical activity and healthy lifestyles. The Department’s park system features 29 parks and 26 miles of hard-surface linear trail. Specialty facilities include Binder Park Golf Course and Binder Park Zoo, Woodland Park Nature Preserve, Willard Beach Park on Goguac Lake, Full Blast Recreation Center, and Kell

ogg Arena. The Department offers numerous active programs for youth and adults including baseball/softball, basketball, flag football,floor hockey, soccer, volleyball and much more. By promoting proper nutrition and healthy physical activity the Department strives to develop life-long healthy habits among today’s youth so that they become the healthy role models of tomorrow. ❤️💛💚 The City of Battle Creek would like to share a reminder with our neighbors of service changes in place on Friday, June 19, in observance of the Juneteenth holiday. 💚💛❤️

City administrative offices
❤️ All City of Battle Creek administrative offices will be CLOSED Friday, June 19, in observance of the Juneteenth holiday.
💛 City offices will resume regular business hours, of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, June 22.

Full Blast and Flash Flood Waterpark
💚 Full Blast Recreation Center will be OPEN for regular hours Friday, June 19.
❤️ Flash Flood Waterpark will be OPEN for regular hours Friday, June 19, pending any weather-related closures.

Ride Calhoun
💛 Ride Calhoun administrative offices will be CLOSED Friday, June 19, with regular hours resuming Monday, June 22.
💚 RC MAX (fixed-route bus service), RC MOVE (paratransit service), and RC FLEX (on-demand service) WILL operate their regular schedules Friday, June 19.

Republic Services
❤️ Republic Services will be OPEN Friday, June 19, with no expected pickup delays.

The City of Battle Creek will treat Goguac Lake to control lake w**ds on Wednesday, June 17.

Willard Beach will be closed for swimming and will reopen at noon on Thursday, June 18.

Please stay out of treated water for 24 hours after application so the treatment can work effectively. Signs will be posted.
