I’ve been thinking about leadership.
Not titles. Not popularity. Not whether everyone understands you.
I mean the kind of leadership that changes people.
And when I think about that, I think about TheBrandMarian
I am 55 years old, and Marian is considerably younger than me. Yet she has profoundly influenced the way I move in my life and business.
Before Marian, I had ideas. Plenty of them. But there was often a gap between what I could see for myself and what I was willing to execute.
Marian did not let me live in that gap.
She challenged me to show up, become more visible, and stop talking about what I wanted to build and start building it.
And I’ve watched her do that for others too.
She sees potential. She challenges people. She expects you to rise.
I’ve called Marian a misunderstood genius because her mind moves differently. Her vision is big, her conviction is strong, and she is willing to stand up for what and who she believes in.
Is she perfect? No not in the relevant sense of the word. None of us are.
But I refuse to allow someone else’s interpretation of Marian to erase my lived experience with her.
I know the woman who mentored me.
I know the woman who challenged me when I was sitting on my own potential.
I know the woman who helped me become bolder, more visible, and more willing to execute.
Marian changed the way I show up in my own life.
No headline, rumor, accusation, or opinion can rewrite an experience I personally lived.
That is the Marian I know.
And that truth deserves to be said out loud.
