Louisiana House Resolution Pushes LHSAA To Recognize Cheer and Dance as a Sport

Louisiana lawmakers unanimously advanced a resolution encouraging the LHSAA to sanction high school cheer, dance, and lacrosse. The move would introduce coaching certification, safety standards, and structured competition if adopted.

Loving our girl and waiting to cheer with her again oh so soon!! 💛💛

We have been following the story of Valerie Guilliote, a student at Assumption fighting cancer.

Val’s family shared an update this weekend saying that the student’s cancer has not spread and she is responding to chemotherapy with positive results with the cancer not spreading and shrinking.

It’s a long fight ahead still yet but this update is good.

We pray for that young woman, her family, her friends and our Mustangs friends.

Tryout practices start this week! Every Monday and Wednesday from 4-6 in the back gym at AHS! Must attend at least 3 to tryout on March 30!
