Victus Elite 2029 Franchise 15U fell 10-4 to Knights Knation 15U National after a decisive eight-run third inning proved to be the difference.
Despite the setback, Victus continued to battle throughout the game. Aiden Parong drove in two runs, while Rhett Burton, Parong, Landen Hook, and Nicolas Morales each recorded a hit.
Parong started on the mound, and the Victus pitching staff continued to compete against a disciplined Knights Knation lineup that capitalized on key opportunities.
The team showed resilience from start to finish and quickly turned its attention to the next matchup of the tournament.
Game 2
Victus Elite 2029 Franchise 15U responded in a big way Tuesday, earning a 7-4 win over MMW Arizona 2029 Summer 15U to split the day’s games.
After falling behind early, Victus took control behind timely hitting and strong pitching. Nicolas Morales launched a two-run homer in the second inning, and Aiden Parong delivered the knockout blow with a two-run home run in the fifth. Maxwell McQuillar and Landen Hook also came through with RBI hits during the decisive inning.
Drew Collins turned in an outstanding start, striking out nine batters over four innings while allowing just three runs. Landon Carper closed out the game in relief to secure the victory.
Parong and Morales each finished with two RBIs, while Miles Umscheid led the offense with two hits.
Victus Elite finished the day on a high note and carried momentum into Wednesday’s matchup against South Oakland A’s.
