Lady Tiger Rugby The LSU Women’s Rugby Club is in its 8th year at LSU and we are happy to introduce new Head Coach Harry Higgins. Unlike football, however, there is no blocking.

Coach Higgins has taken on both the LSU Men’s and Women’s Rugby programs and is already making a huge impact in the rugby community. If you are interested in rugby, we would love for you to join our team of amazing women in playing the great sport of rugby! Rugby is a fast paced game with few stoppages and continuous ball possession changes. The object of the game is that two teams of fifteen play

ers each should score as many points as possible during two 40-minute halves, by carrying, passing, kicking and grounding the ball. All players must also be able to tackle and defend, making each position both offensive and defensive in nature. Rugby is a full contact sport derived from both soccer and football. Whether you’re fast or slow, short or tall there is a place for you in rugby!

Hello All! LSU Women’s Rugby is gearing up for another great Rugby season. Recruitment went well and we have an all new group of women excited about the sport! Everyone has been working hard at practices for the past three weeks and our first game is this weekend!!
