On this day in 2022, No. 1 Cur Dog Baseball defeated John Curtis to capture the program’s fifth state championship. Daniel Harden delivered the key blows, tying the game with a sacrifice fly in the fourth before driving home the go-ahead run with a sixth-inning double. William Boneno slammed the door with three no-hit innings out of the bullpen to secure the title for the Bears. 🐻⚾️

On this day in 1948, Cur Dog Baseball steamrolled Ouachita 16-1 in the state quarterfinals, putting up 10 runs in the bottom of the first inning. The game was called after five innings via the 10-run rule, with catcher Jerry Marchand leading the offensive onslaught. Marchand racked up a single and two triples, scored four times, and drove in five as the Bears cruised to victory. 🐻⚾️
