Mr. Redmond wasn't only proficient with fi****ms, he was very capable with stick and string.

Here Mr. Redmond took 5 shoots from 30 yards from my Hoyt Satori. Having never shot a recurve in many years, Mr. Redmond proved when you are good, you are good.

On this day June 15th 2020 the world lost a man that was kind, caring, a great friend, a patriot, and proud to be Army Airborne.

My dear friend Mr. James Ray Redmond, Proprietor of Redmond Sports Company, Inc. left God's green earth to go up and check on heavenly activities.

I miss Mr. Redmond each and every day. He was my mentor in the hunting and gun world. He taught me everything I know about fi****ms and trained me in refinishing and repair of vintage fi****ms. He taught me about life and took me under his wing and I am a better person for knowing him.

Blessed be your soul Mr. Redmond. You are dearly missed by all your friends and family. Your imprint on so many lives will never be forgotten.

God's Speed my dear friend.

Redmond Sports Company Inc. Last Restoration

This Springfield Arms Company, Chicopee Massachusetts 1929 Model 20 Gauge was the last firearm that was restored to field condition under the watchful eye of Retired Airborne and Proprietor Mr. James Ray Redmond of Redmond Sports Company Inc.

I was proud to have finished this gun with Mr. Redmond and very proud it met his Redmond Ready, Redmond Approved standard. This gun was my complete project, we did a light browned hand cold blue, refinished the furniture and we turned it into a beauty from the ragged condition it was in when we started the project.

We presented this finished shotgun to my Father-In-Law Mr. James John Voit, Navy Retired as a present on his 90th birthday. The shotgun was born the year as Mr. Voit.

Mr. Voit had a 20 Gauge when he deployed to Korea and Vietnam, but when he got back the family had moved and his trusty 20 gauge was gone. So we were very pleased to fill that void with this fine Springfield Arms Company 20 Gauge.

We took Mr. Voit to the local trap range and he was ready to shoot a clay. He called pull for the first clay and powdered it. Mr. Voit promptly said he was done. Why ruin a 100% streak. Bully for you Mr. Voit.

I miss Mr. Redmond every day and words cannot describe the hole his passing left in my in my life but I have memories like this fine shotgun to remind me of all he taught me and what I am capable of now in my life.
