Blue & White Golf Classic

This year's Blue and White Golf Classic is fast approaching so some details follow:
1. It's Friday, June 7 at Brunswick Golf Club.
2. Registration tables open at 7:00 a.m. for tee gifts and purchasing raffle tickets. All participants must go through registration.
3. There are 36 foursomes (You've all paid - thank you).
4. Opening Ceremonies start around 8:00 a.m. with recognition of MHS Scholarship recipients, announcement of Honorary Chairs and Morse High Band playing the national anthem and "The Blue and the White."
5. Shotgun start around 8:30 a.m.
6. No personal coolers allowed on the course. There is a full service restaurant that can and will satisfy your thirsty needs. Light breakfast food and coffee and lunch are provided to participants.
7. All alumni and friends are invited to the Opening Ceremonies and before and visit with classmates and friends from over the years.
8. This is the major fund-raiser for the Morse HIgh School Scholarship Fund. We appreciate all participants and the many sponsors who have donated to this investment into our Morse High graduates' futures.

Just two days away from the Blue & White Golf Classic! Remember each fivesome gets two golf carts for your five golf bags. I recommend you use a bungee cord to help secure that extra bag on one of those carts. Also, the earlier you get there, the better parking spots you will find but we will provide shuttle service from the front of the driveway to your reserved carts. Tee off is scheduled for 8:00 a.m. but you need to register, buy mulligans for your team and raffle tickets. All to support the Morse High School Scholarship Fund.

You may not be aware but not only is the goal to have fun playing golf on this day with a lot of Morse alumni and friends but the primary goal is to fund-raise for the Morse High School Scholarship Fund. If you can't play or you know you won't be in town that weekend, you can still support the cause by sponsoring a hole sign. Signs range in price from $100, $200, $500 and up. If you or your business are interested in supporting this great cause, contact either me(Brian Hatch), Mark Harrington or Dave Flaherty. We'll see that gets done for you.

I am updating this page to reflect this year's (2016) Blue and White Golf Tournament. It's still going strong and we still have a few openings if you are interested. Cost this year is $75 per person or $375 for each 5-person team. The date is June 10, 2016, with a shot-gun start at 8:00 a.m. but be there at least 45 minutes earlier to register. You must pay in advance with checks made out to Blue and White Golf Classic. Let me (Brian Hatch) know if you are interested.

Yesterday's Blue and White Golf Classic was a huge success. Thank you, Class of '61 for all your help as the tournament generated $39,500 toward the Morse High Scholarship Fund. It was a great day for golf. Everyone seemed to have a good time. Class of 1962 - your turn to step up to the plate. It's not too early to be thinking about next year!

Just a reminder that this coming Friday is the playing of the Blue and White Golf Classic. Forty teams and lots of Morse alumni will tee it up at 8:00 a.m. but get there early for registration and special festivities!
