Who knew there was such a beautiful and scenic river right in my backyard!! A few rapids as well to keep things interesting. Would anyone be interested in a paddling/tubing trip this Summer?

Trip Report - Jones Gap State Park - May 2020

I could not have asked for a better trip, it was absolutely perfect weather!! What I love about Jones Gap is you can experience the backcountry setting but only hike in a few hundred yards to some of the sites. Many more trips to come!

Mt. Mitchell trip report:
Had a great time this past weekend camping and hiking in the crisp cool and thin mountain air. No more trips there for the Winter because they are so harsh but will be back in late Spring to Summer!
