For NCAA Division I, coaches legally can’t call, text, or DM you directly until **September 1 of your junior year**. Division II opens June 15 after sophomore year. D3, NAIA, and JUCO are far more flexible.
Silence isn’t a “no.” It’s the prep window — and most athletes waste it.

A “Dear Coach” blast sent to 50 programs gets deleted. One short, specific email gets a reply: why that program, your grad year and position, two or three real stats, and a video link.
Your move this week: pick 5 target schools and send each coach ONE personalized email. Not 50 copies — 5 real ones.
