Let's answer some questions about Forest Hills Titans!
If your question isn't answered here, drop us a comment or send us a message. We'd love to connect!
Who is Forest Hills Titans?
Forest Hills Titans is a non-profit, volunteer led, tryout-based, select basketball program for kids that live in the Forest Hills School District. Forest Hills Titans was founded (11 years ago) to provide a more competitive basketball experience via competition, development, and commitment.
How big is the commitment?
Forest Hills Titans teams (Grades 2-6) will compete in the Cincinnati Youth Premier League (CPYBL). Each team can expect 20 league games plus the league championship tournament, for a total of 20β24 games. Coaches may opt to enter additional tournaments (preseason/holiday etc) but this varies by team and is coaches discretion.
When and where are the games?
Games begin the first week of December and conclude by the end of February. Nearly every game will be played on Saturday or Sunday in the Cincinnati area. Home games are typically at Turpin or Anderson High School.
When and where are the practices/skills sessions?
Practice 2x per week on scheduled days (i.e. Tues/Thurs) at the same time (as much as possible) each week. Length 60-90 minutes.
Skills 1x per week (60 minutes) led by experienced skills trainer Scott Barker.
Practices and Skills will begin in early November and take place at FHSD gyms.
How many teams will you have?
We plan to have 2 teams per grade (grades 2-6). Our Blue team is our most competitive team in each grade. Our White team is our second team in each grade.
Who will coach the teams?
We have a strong group of returning coaches this year. We have coaches assigned for all of our teams heading into tryouts. Coaches are unpaid volunteers but many have played or coached the game at higher levels throughout their life. We are working on a fall coaches clinic prior to the season. Coaches will have direct access to resources throughout the season.
What is the cost to participate?
There is no cost for tryouts. If your child is selected for a team, a season fee will be due. We are working to nail down final cost for the 2026-27 season. The fee will cover warmups, uniforms, gym space, referee fees, insurance, and other program operating costs. Players keep their uniforms at the end of the season.
Join us at tryouts on Sunday September 20th!
