Update: Duke's work in the area continues, and they've installed 2 of our 3 new poles that will provide electric (and eventually wifi coverage) to additional parts of the club.

Announcement:

Duke is doing work on the power lines and poles right outside the club entrance this week. Stonelick Williams Corner Rd will be closed from the north, not accessible from the SR132 side of the club.

The road is expected to be closed each day this week until around 3:00 PM.

Registration is open for our level 2 SCSA match. It should be a great weekend with lots of prizes and giveaways for all who participate. RO's and staff shoot free. If interested in helping out, please reach out to our SCSA Match Director ([email protected]) for details.

Registration is now open for our inagural Queen City Steel Challenge Championship Presented by AimSurplus. Spots are limited and we're expecting it to fill up quickly.

A new calendar format is available for download from the Calendar page on this web site. This format includes additional information not found on the compact format (which is still available). Additional fields included are:

End Time – so you’ll know approximately when the match ends. This time is not absolute.

Contact – who to call if you’d like information on the match.

Range(s) Used – which range(s) are in use for the match/event.

We have introduced two racks of hanging steel on the Benchrest Range. One bank is located at the 150 yard bunker and the other at the 200 yard bunker. Both banks have the same targets (the 150 yard bank is temporarily missing the smallest target). This is currently a work in progress as fine tuning is ongoing. We have a steel shield on order that should cover the chain. We also need to address the tendency of the gongs ending up on top of the RR tie after being hit.

If you happen to detach a gong while shooting, please take the gong to the club house's lost and found table so it can be re-hung.

The benchrest range will be closed for repairs on Tuesday 2/9/2021 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Membership renewal is now in progress. Important dates to remember include:

Normal Renewal: 11-1-2020 through 12-31-2020
Late Renewal with $20.00 Late Fee: 1-1-2021 through 1-31-2021
After 1-31-2021, anyone who hasn’t renewed is no longer a member.

The membership director will be in the clubhouse every Saturday in December from 10:00 A.M. until noon to assist anyone having trouble renewing their membership. They will need to bring their badge and a credit card, debit card, or “registered” gift card for payment.

Due to COVID concerns the Nov 14 Black Powder match is cancelled.

Tuesday 11/3 – Friday 11/6 the 600 yard rifle range will close for installation of a drainpipe at the 200 yard firing line.
That same week the bench rest range will likely close Tuesday morning for a briefing, then possibly be open Tuesday and Wednesday.

As always, this schedule is subject to the weather cooperating with our plans.
