THE COLOVISTA COMEBACK IS UNDERWAY!

If you've played ColoVista over the years, you know what a special golf course this can be. You also know it's seen better days.

We're not going to pretend otherwise.

In the spring of 2024, we began an ambitious restoration to bring ColoVista back. The fairways and greens were struggling, irrigation systems needed extensive repairs, and years of deterioration had taken their toll.

Now look at us in October 2026!

We've made tremendous progress:

✅ Approximately 95% of fairway irrigation repaired

✅ New sod installed on portions of 10 holes

✅ Bunker restoration and cart path improvements

✅ Significant improvements in turf quality and playing conditions

The restoration hasn't always been pretty. Keeping new grass alive through the Texas summer required heavy watering, and at times the course was a muddy mess.

But the hard work is paying off!

The fairways have dried out, the grass is recovering, and the course is looking better every week.

And the best part? October and November are some of the best months to play golf in Central Texas!

Over the next several weeks, we'll share more of the incredible transformation through photos of where we started and where we are today.

We're not finished, but we're proud of the progress.

No more muddy mess!!! ColoVista is looking better than it has in a long time, and just in time for some great fall golf!

We’ll be the first to admit, it was a muddy mess at times this summer! With the extreme heat and drought, we had to keep the course exceptionally wet to continue our restoration efforts and protect all the progress we’ve made.

But take a look at it now! 👀

The course has dried out, the mowers are rolling, and the playing conditions are improving every day. The mud is behind us, and we’re looking forward to fantastic conditions throughout the fall!

We appreciate everyone’s patience as we continue bringing ColoVista back to its full potential. Come see the progress for yourself!

Good news! ColoVista has not received nearly as much rain as originally anticipated, and as of right now, the First Sunday Scramble is still a GO!

We’ll continue to monitor course and weather conditions and will make our final decision tomorrow at 5:00 PM.
