Sunday's Swim School

Sunday's Swim School Small group swim lessons offered by experienced instructor at private pool during summers. I have over 20 years experience teaching swim lessons.

My career as a lifeguard and swim lesson instructor began in the summer of 1998 at the local city pool. I have taught a variety of ages and abilities. Over the years, I have been W.S.I. (water safety instructor) certified as well as YMCA swim instructor certified. During high school, I taught swim lessons to our district's special education classes. I also assisted with the YMCA's "Learn to Swim"

program which provided lessons to all 2nd graders during school. In college, I taught adult swim lessons. Most recently, I was asked to offer a training course for new swim instructors. I expanded my knowledge and expertise to include infant swim techniques when my own personal children were born. Additionally, I have experience coaching competitive swim team/swim leagues.

It's GO TIME!!!! I will start at the top of my client list and work my way down over the next 2 weeks! I put a lot of time and effort into ensuring my students are grouped together by both age and ability! I want you child's experience to be the best possible!

NEW CLIENTS- Once I know which classes are when, I will start reaching out in mid-April to fill the vacant spots...based on age/ability!

WE WANT YOU to join us for a 3.1 mile run/walk through Bastrop's beautiful, historic, downtown area. The Run This Town 5K/1K Event is a fundraiser for Mina Elementary School and is open to the public! Our goal is to provide a family-friendly race that promotes health and fitness. We welcome runners, walkers, and volunteers of all ages! Our focus is on the children; awards will be given out to multiple age groups under 19yrs old and also adult categories. Sign the whole family up and spend the next few weeks training together! Proceeds from the event will benefit the student's of Mina Elementary and be used for future on-campus races in addition to field day activities. Click the link to sign up today:

1K Kids Fun Run is open to all children ages 10yrs and younger.

Start and Finish of the races will be in Fisherman's Park. Kids 1K @ 8:30am / 5K @ 9:00am.

T-Shirts included with all race registrations submitted before November 24th.

Water Stations along the route. Post-race food and beverages provided.

Finisher Medals will be given to all children participating in the 1K and 5K.

Awards will be given to top 3 male and female 5K finishers in each division: 8yrs&Under, 9-10yrs, 11-12yrs, 13-14yrs, 15-19yrs, 20-29yrs, 30-49yrs, 50+.

Early Packet Pick-Up at Mina Elementary School Gym: Friday, December 5, 2025 from 3:00pm-7:00pm.

Race Day Packet Pick-Up begins at 7:00am on the tennis courts @ Fisherman's Park.

The Run This Town 5K/1K is on Saturday December 6, 2025. It includes the following events: 5K Race (Kids & Adults), Kids 1K Fun Run (10yrs & Under), and T-Shirt ONLY (not racing).

I don’t offer a parent-tot baby swim class very often, but this year I had some availability in my schedule and it ended up being one of my favorites all summer! Love me some water babies! 🩷 Thank you Amanda Hurst for teaching lessons with me all summer!

With all this cooler summer weather and air temps, I’ve been using a few drops after classes every day! **Always ask your pediatrician first if your child has pre-existing ear conditions!
