Greater Bassett Area Family Fun Float "Spend the weekend on the river with Friends and Family ! Ever want to float the Smith but don't want to do it alone? See You On The River

Then come join us once a month, JUN-SEP as we host the weekend fun floats on the beautiful Smith River from Philpott to Bassett. First time paddlers and floaters can meet experienced "river rats" and learn the river, or ask one of our helpful volunteers for information on floating the Smith. Paddlers are friendly folks and willing to help others and floating as a group is fun and a great way to le

arn the river. Smith River Outfitters (SRO)will be open and helping shuttle boaters to the access ramps. Canoes, kayaks and tubes will be available at a discounted rate. The Greater Bassett Area Community Group Volunteers will be out to help shuttle and provide directions and information. SRO will host a Swap meet each of these weekends at the shop! Bring your used gear to Smith River Outfitters and set up on the lawn to sell used gear, crafts, etc. Enjoy one of our local eatery's while in town. Plan your weekends now, its going to be a hot summer and cool river trips !
