Purler Wrestling will be coming to Big Basile and putting on a wrestling camp! July 13-17, 2026. This opportunity does not come around often, so don’t miss out! Ages 7-18. Details included in the flyer.

Our Bearcat Wrestling Club continues to impress at a statewide level.
A few stats:
1. Our club entered 50 kids into the LA Kids Folkstyle State Tournament, 2nd in the whole state!
2. We finished 2nd in Pins in the state. Pins win!
3. 31/50, or well over half of our kids reached the 3rd place match at the state tournament with many more winning several matches.

This is unprecedented success and a great testament to the work that our many coaches, parents, kids and community put in to make this program great all year long. Every successful high school program is built from the ground up at the club level.

If you want your kids to receive the best coaching, positive reinforcement, and small-town friendship and togetherness, Bearcat Wrestling Club is the way to go!

Last post for a while….
Just wanted to shout out a guy who has been around our program for a long time! He’s given countless hours on Saturdays, during the week driving from work to practice, wrestling with boys on the mat in Basile, having guys over for extra practice at his house and never asked for a thing in return.
We could never thank you enough!

To the best dressed, loudest, friendliest coach ever..
