The Orleans County Fairgrounds Barn Project is rebuilding horse barns and adding a new 150x60 barn with 60 stalls, supporting equine events and offering winter storage for the community.

We did want to make one small correction from the article. Nearby barns in Lyndonville and West Burke have not been involved in the fundraising efforts or donation of supplies for this project.

What Gabrielle meant to share is that Sonia has also joined forces with several local women from Lyndonville, West Burke & Lancaster, to create the NEK Horse Show Series. This new series will be hosting horse shows at OCF and other locations, including one this weekend on Sunday, June 7that OCF!

This project has been made possible thanks to the sponsorships and donations from our local businesses as well as the Vermont Fairs and Field Days Grants Program. We are especially grateful to the Orleans County Fair Association for generously dedicating those grant fundings toward the Horse Barn Rebuild Project over the past three years. Their continued support, along with the dedication of our community, has helped make this important project a reality.

We are excited to see the fairgrounds being used, supported, and celebrated by so many people. Thank you to everyone who has donated, volunteered, shared the project, or helped keep this rebuild moving forward.

Thank you all for your continued support. We have been working very hard on this project and are excited to see it moving closer to completion.

We understand that everyone is excited to check it out, and we are just as excited to share it with you.
However, we do ask that everyone please be patient and do NOT ENTER the barn until the project is completely finished.

The barn is still under construction, and there are nails, screws, materials, unfinished areas, and other items that make it unsafe at this time. For everyone’s safety, and to help protect the fair’s liability, NO ONE should enter the barn or open the garage doors before the project is complete and the building is ready for public access.

Once the project is close to completion, we will post a ribbon-cutting ceremony date. At that time, everyone will be welcome to come see and enjoy the new facility.

Thank you for understanding, respecting the construction area, and helping us keep the project safe for everyone.

Exciting things are happening at the OCF Horse Barn Rebuild Project!

The 60 new stall doors are being built, and they are looking absolutely beautiful. This project is getting closer and closer to the finish line, and it is so exciting to see all the hard work, planning, and community support coming together.
