So maybe you aged out of the Small Fry Tri— no judgment here!—and you still want to race. No worries, there's a race for you! Tomorrow is race day (Saturday, September 19) for both the Small Fry Tri at W.J. Freeman Park and the Legend of Stanky Creek, a mountain biking cross country race at Nesbit Park, put on by Nesbit—oops! I mean, Stanky Creek Cycling. No matter your skill level, the fine folks over there will make sure you can take to the trails. We won't even hold the name against them!

This is Paul. Paul "volunteered" to test the sprinklers for tomorrow's Small Fry Tri ("PAUL. PAUL! Get in the sprinkler, Paul!"). Turns out, the water feels pretty good!

You, too, can beat the heat AND win a medal doing it. Registration for the 17th Annual Small Fry Tri at W.J. Freeman Park is still open. Racers ages 2 through 6 run, bike, and "swim" approximately 25 yards each to the finish line. Check-in starts at 8:30 AM; the race starts at 9 AM.

Thanks to our director Paul Wright for being a good sport and being the first to run through the sprinkler.

Park-goers, please be aware that the walking path and grassy area on the south side of W.J. Freeman Park (west of the gazebo) will not be available for general public usage tomorrow morning during the Small Fry Tri. The Small Fry Tri should be concluded before noon.

Are you ready to race? Parents and racers, take a peek at the map for this Saturday's Small Fry Tri at W.J. Freeman Park. We'll be joined by Bee’s Bakehouse, too, so get ready for a treat!

The Small Fry Tri is open to racers ages 2-6 and costs $25/racer. Racers will run, bike/scooter, and "swim" (run through a sprinkler) approximately 25 yards each to the finish line. Check-in starts at 8:30 AM; the race begins at 9 AM.

On your marks, get set, GO! This Saturday, join us for the 17th Annual Small Fry Tri at W.J. Freeman Park. Open to ages 2 through 6, this tot-friendly triathlon has three 25-yard sections where racers run, bike, and "swim" their way to the finish line. Parents, siblings, and "personal trainers" are welcome to cheer and help the racers along the course. Come rain or shine, we're racin' right at 9 AM!

Thanks to everyone who joined us for a fantastic Mother-Son Nerf Night on Friday and at the Rec Rover yesterday during the legendary luau at Bartlett Live! Special shout out to our amazing staff who helped make both events possible, whether that's by working the event or preparing the space for the public.

Looking for something fun to do next weekend? Join us for Saturday's Small Fry Tri as young racers run, bike, and "swim" their way to the finish line for a shiny medal. Held at W.J. Freeman Park, check-in begins at 8:30 AM on Saturday, September 19 and the race begins at 9 AM. This race is open to ages 2 through 6 and requires no previous experience.
