Monday, August 31st. Ga Jang Nim Smith will be in town as a guest instructor for our adult class (6:15).

Good morning! It's test day tonight. Our students have been working extra hard and are ready to present their skills. Come by and cheer them on!

Testing will be during normal class times. Students who are not testing will have class as usual.

Hi friends! It's Tori. 👋
When I took on the Downtown Bartlesville page, I made myself a promise: I didn't want this page to become another place that simply reposts for businesses.
I wanted to get out into our community, meet the people behind our downtown businesses and organizations, and share them through my own experiences.
So...welcome to ✨️Downtown Discovery✨️

Today's destination is Empty Hand Martials Arts.

My daughter has been taking classes there, and as a parent, I've watched something really special happen. She's always been a little quiet and reserved, but little by little, I've seen her confidence grow. She's standing taller, speaking up more, and finding a fierceness that was always there. It just needed the right people to help bring it out.

The instructors have impressed me from day one. They're patient with the kids, they emphasize respect and discipline, and they genuinely care about helping each student grow.

If I'm being completely honest...I've been tempted to sign up myself. And maybe one day, you'll see me in a dobok. Every time I watch a class, I leave thinking, "One of these days..."

If you've ever thought about trying martial arts, or if you're looking for something that builds confidence and discipline for yourself or your child, I think they're worth checking out.
