Hi, Fish & Fins families! 💙🐠

I would love your input on something I've been considering for swim lessons.

Currently, lessons are **30 minutes for $35**. Over the years, I've noticed that for many of my swimmers—especially my younger ones—their attention span starts to fade around the 20-minute mark. While there are definitely benefits to the full 30 minutes (extra practice, confidence building, rest breaks when needed, and fun activities like diving for rings with more advanced swimmers), I've been wondering if a shorter, more focused lesson might actually be more effective.

**Option 1 (Current)**
🏊 30-minute private lessons
💲 $35

**Option 2 (Considering)**
🏊 20-minute private lessons
💲 $25

**Possible Pros of 20 Minutes**
✅ More focused instruction
✅ Better matches many young swimmers' attention spans
✅ Lower cost for families
✅ Swimmers often leave excited instead of feeling worn out

**Possible Cons**
❌ Less time for advanced skills, endurance, and extra practice
❌ Less flexibility if a child needs a few minutes to warm up or adjust

I truly value your opinion because you know your swimmer best!

**What would you prefer?**
Keep lessons at **30 minutes for $35**
OR
Switch to **20 minutes for $25**

If I decide to make the change, would you rather:
🗓️ Start **this weekend** as school begins,
or
🗓️ Wait and make the change **at the beginning of next swim season**?

Please vote in the comments and feel free to tell me *why*. Your feedback will help me make the best decision for both my swimmers and their families. Thank you for being such an amazing part of the Fish & Fins family! 🩵🐟

Edit to add: we cannot do both options. It makes it too confusing for timing, selection etc. it would really need to be one or the other.

SWIM LESSON UPDATE!

Hours are changing just a little next week as Cross Country season begins!

I’m so excited to share that I am the Head Cross Country Coach at WCS this year! I’m thrilled for this opportunity and can’t wait to get started!

Because of morning practices, swim lessons next week will begin at 10:00 AM instead of 9:00 AM.

Beginning the week of August 10, we’ll transition to evening and weekend swim lessons as we head back to school.

And don’t worry—swim season isn’t over yet! I’ll continue offering lessons until it’s too cold to swim!

Lessons are OPEN for next week! Grab your spot and let’s keep building those swimming skills!

RIP our little canopy! You were good while you lasted! We did already order another one and it will be here soon. We have been out cleaning up the neighborhood of trees and debris. We still need to clean up the pool of leaves but we will be ok!
Some were not so lucky- we are thankful. 💙

Our Water Shade LLC did its best but sadly didn't last. We already have a new one ordered because it is our life saver in this Oklahoma heat!!
