Bartlesville Archery Club Archery Practice Range with an event only 3d course.

05/25/2026

The Barville archery club would like to thank everybody for attending our memorial Day weekend ASA qualifier. It is your continued support that helps grow the sport and keep clubs like ours around. I personally would like to thank those who helped me get the range together which include Randy Henton, my son Zach Snow, Mark McMillian, My Wife, Brandie Gailey, and my daughter Keely Martin. We believe we had around 83 to 85 shooters this weekend and look forward to hosting you guys again next year hopefully around March..

The Last ASA qualifier that we can host this season is upon us this weekend. May 23-24th. As per usual. 10A.M. Shotgun start. (That means everyone starts together at 10. Not like a trickle start to avoid confusion). Payback classes are a $30 entry and fun/youth classes are a $15 entry. Registration will begin at 8A.M. And if we have a trad group we will likely send them out early should they desire. Registration will close promptly at 9:45 so please arrive with plenty of time. Choose your timing accordingly. Remember there is no great cellphone service so most of us are unavailable once we arrive. There is no address since we are located at a lake and they tend not to have mailboxes but there are pins on our fbook page and Google Maps that can assist. Unfortunately the construction that plagued us for our last shoot causing a detour is still in effect. We will post signs to help. Hope to see everyone there!

Target bail covers have arrived! (Thank you Miles Blair and the arrow shop) It’s time to get these in order and repaired. I will be at the range Saturday May 9th mowing and w**d eating the practice and 3d course. I hope to have already have the field targets area mowed and sprayed by then. Arrangements have been made for that. This brings us to the 9th. I am seeking member or new volunteers (will be happy to offer a years membership for any who can give us 4-5 hours of their day) to assist in bagging and rehanging our practice targets. Any equipment you may have as far as cordless power tools etc are appreciated. This will literally not happen unless we get help. Sorry to be so blunt about it. If you are not available on the 9th. Feel free to let me know when you are available for a task and I will be happy to make arrangements with you for that. I don’t have to be out there for many of these chores. Thank you and if you have any questions feel free to message me directly at (918)338-9106

On March 14th, the club held a meeting to discuss current issues that needed to be addressed. The members that attended voted to:
-Rebag the targets that were vandalized
-Scheduled a work day in the future
-raise yearly dues to $40/household beginning for the new year (August 1st to July 31st)

The club could really benefit from some w**d control this year. If any members have access to a sprayer that is attached to a mower, 4 wheeler or some kind of vehicle? We would greatly appreciate the use of it for an hour or so. Herbicide is supplied. Picture is just an example incase my wording wasn’t clear.

There will be a club meeting Saturday, March 14th at 2pm. Please make plans to attend. The future of the range will be discussed. As you can see from the pictures posted, the club has suffered major vandalism AGAIN. The club belongs to its members. If you want to continue to have a club, please come and be part of the meeting--Brandie

Thank you all for coming out this weekend! We hosted 108 shooters from what we can tell. Special shout out for all the help setting up, Zach Snow, Brandon Snow, Mark McMillan, and of course my wife Brandie Gailey. Also a huge thanks for those of you who helped tear it down. Zach, Keely Pritchard, Mark, Brandie, Miles Blair, Kelli Blair, Randy Henton, Dale Coolie, Neil Coolie and if I missed anyone. I’m sorry. It was a touch chaotic and I certainly missed someone. Also the scores can be found on the Oklahoma ASA webpage.
