We’ll talk about how everyone has big feelings sometimes and learn simple ways to express them in healthy ways.

After the story, we’ll have:
🎨 A feelings-themed craft
🎲 A fun feelings matching activity
✂️ Fine motor activities designed especially for little hands

Story Time is included with admission and is perfect for toddlers, preschoolers, and early elementary-aged children.

🎉📚 Our first Story Time Friday was a success! 🐟💙

Today we read The Pout-Pout Fish and talked about how it’s okay to have big feelings, but those feelings don’t have to define who we are. We kept our discussion simple and age-appropriate, focusing on how feelings can change and how we’re more than just our emotions.

After our read-aloud, we headed to the party room and created Pout-Pout Fish mosaics! This fun activity helped strengthen fine motor skills as the kids tore construction paper and glued the pieces onto their fish creations. We also enjoyed some adorable Pout-Pout Fish coloring pages inspired by the story.

Since we had extra supplies, we’ve left some activities out for everyone to enjoy!

🐟 Pout-Pout Fish coloring pages can be found in the Sensory Area.
🐟 Mosaic pages are available in the Café area, along with pre-torn paper pieces, glue sticks, and an example to help get your little artist started.

Want your child to practice tearing the paper themselves for an extra fine motor challenge? Just ask one of our team members at the front desk and we’ll be happy to help!

Thank you to everyone who joined us today. We are so excited to launch Story Time Fridays and can’t wait to continue learning, creating, and having fun together each week.

💙 **Mighty Me Families, We're Excited to Welcome You!** 💙

When Mighty Me reached out and asked if there was a way we could provide a place for families to gather this summer after their meet-ups were canceled, our answer was simple:

**Absolutely. Without a doubt.**

Beginning this summer, **Mighty Me families are invited to enjoy FREE PLAY at Sugarbear Playhouse every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00–6:00 PM during our regular open hours.**

Simply let our staff know you're with **Mighty Me** when you arrive, and we'll get you checked in and ready to play!

For those who may not be familiar, **Mighty Me** is a program of the Mighty Miracles Foundation that supports families raising children with disabilities through connection, community, inclusive events, and recreational opportunities. We are honored to partner with them and provide a welcoming place for families to connect and children to play.
