It is with great sadness I share with our membership that Sid Tiemann has passed away this past January. Sid was a dedicated friend to Barrington Fencing Club over the years. He volunteered many evenings with us teaching and coaching fencing to our membership. When Sid worked for United Airlines as a pilot, he fenced at a club in London England on his lay overs there; he often shared interesting and fun stories about his adventures and many of the fencing techniques he learned there. The lessons and skills Sid shared with us will live on through our members. Thank you Sid; we miss you.
