As many of you know, I have decided to end the Memorial Softball Tournament after a successful 8 years. It would have been this coming weekend. It has been a great experience putting this together every year and I have met so many great people along the way. The time spent putting it all together has been very rewarding yet it does take a tremendous amount of time and energy so I have decided it's time to hang up the bats and gloves and call it a Grand Slam!
Over the past 8 years we have donated over $40,000 to several charities in memory of Jenna M Pellegrini and Christine Sullivan. These charities have been wonderful contributing to this event and even put together several teams to join in. They are always in need of support so if you would like to help any of them out then feel free to contact any of the below listed Charities. They all do excellent work fighting Domestic & Sexual Violence and Drug Addiction..
New Hampshire Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence
HAVEN NH
SOS Recovery Community Organization
There are many people I would like to thank but I don't want to leave anyone out so I will just make a few "Thank You's" for some of the most dedicated.
Thank you to John Basham and the Barrington Youth Association for allowing us to play on their fields every year as well as the food donations. Thank you to Kris Furtney and Kenneth Leblanc for helping every year with the Umpires and everything to do with the Game of Softball. The USA Softball of NH and Dan Boyce for providing all the scorebooks, balls, registration and event signups every year.
Thank you Bobby and crew at the former LCG on Wheels for providing and donating some of the best food in the Seacoast area, now running the new 7 C's Kitchen & Market in Strafford, NH.
And lastly, I would like to mention and thank several individuals that came out to every tournament and played their hearts out all 8 years. Jason Sexton, Debbie Drew Fuller, Jason Marsolais, Courtney Durocher and I know there are other so thank you all for being a part of this and also helping out with anything you could take on.
I will try to post some of the past pictures over the next few months and will keep this site alive as a tribute to my Daughter, Jenna M Pellegrini.
Thank you ALL
Michael Pellegrini
