Been a minute since I've posted, but don't worry- we've been working on some new stuff along with regular work.
Here's a peek at a little something I've been field testing the last couple weeks. If you need a rod that performs well in multiple situations, can hide in your backpack or carry-on for travel, and is just plain fun to use, here it is.
I call it the Shape Shifter. It's a 7'10" spin and fly rod. Yes--you can fly fish or use regular gear, all with the same rod! The quick-change reel seat lets you do that--check out the video to see how it works.
The rod breaks down into six pieces when not in use- it'll fit in a backpack, carry-on luggage, or for me, under the seat of my truck.
It's been awesome on panfish in testing, and it's quickly becoming a favorite in my arsenal.
