Congratulations to Jon Troxell who ran in the high school Region 5 AA meet today! He qualified for state as an individual placing 18th overall running a 19:01 That is almost 3 minutes faster than his time last year at region! We are so proud of him and look forward to seeing him run at the KHSAA State Championship next Saturday!

We finished the season at the Region 13 Middle School Championships! The meet was held at Lynn Camp, the same location as our first meet. Instead of listing their places, I wanted to share the improvement these athletes have shown the last 2 months by comparing their time at the first meet at Lynn Camp to tonight’s meet!

To say I’m proud is a complete understatement. The sky is the limit for these kids!!!

We are going to miss Joey and Jon next year!

These Panthers showed out at Corbin today! Jon and Vivian came home with medals! All of them set PRs in the 4k! So proud of them!

Our next runner is Jaxon Troxell! Jaxon set a HUGE PR recently at Harlan County and is always looking forward to the next meet. He pushes himself every day, every practice, every race! We are so proud of him and his hard work! Not only is Jaxon the hardest worker, but he also is the best teammate!

They all ran hard! No PRs today, but every day won’t be a PR day! So proud of all 5 of them!

I think they meant you’ll never Harlan DRY! What a FUN meet at Harlan County tonight! Not only did we have an AMAZING temperature to run in, but we enjoyed a little mist the whole time!

EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THESE KIDS RAN A PR!

Meet our next runner, Jonathan Troxell! This is his 2nd year running and he has started his 8th grade season off strong with a 4th place finish at Lynn Camp, a 1st place finish at Pineville, a hard fought 1st place finish at Harlan and a 9th place finish at a TOUGH Southern Harrier Classic!

I am so proud of all of our runners today!

Riley Wilson got a 9 second PR! Way to go, Riley!!!

Kaliann ran right at her time from Harlan on Tuesday! Consistency is key to succeed!

Vivian wasn’t happy with her time, but I am so proud of her taking out with confidence and finishing with pride!

Somehow I didn’t get any pics of Jaxen, but he’s getting closer and closer to that PR every week!

Jon Troxell had a solid 9th place finish out of a tough field of competitors!

Joey and Bryce were neck and neck coming around the school and showed so much heart as they finished the race!

We only came home from Somerset with 1 PR, but I think these kids are more determined than EVER to get faster! They have about a week and a half until we head back to Harlan and I can see the fire that’s been set in them!

These runners attacked the hills at Harlan County today!

Jon set a NEW 3000 meter school record for KCMS with a time of 10:56.42 and a FIRST PLACE FINISH!

Joey Miller placed 9th and broke into the 12’s!!!

Bryce Abner placed 11th with ANOTHER PR by over 30 seconds!!!!

Jaxen Troxell placed 19th and is getting closer and closer to his PR from last season! You would never guess he broke his leg at the beginning of summer! The kid has so much heart!

Kaliann and Vivian BOTH PR’d by around 3 minutes 🤯 These girls will be in the 15s in NO TIME!

We sure missed Riley today!

Proud is a huge understatement! I CANNOT wait until Saturday! Come cheer these runners on in Somerset!

Our next runner is Vivian! It may be her first year running, but she has is no stranger to being on a team! She is currently on color guard at the high school and participated in cheer and dance in elementary school. We can’t wait to watch Vivian PR tomorrow at Harlan County!
