What an opening week of basketball! These girls battled some of the best teams in the area at a very competitive Berea tournament. 14 teams, 1 double overtime, 1 single overtime and 2 points shy of the championship to a super talented KBE team finishing 4-1 on the weekend. The most impressive thing however is their integrity, sportsmanship and love for one another. It’s the things you do when no one is watching that matters the most. It’s a blessing to be a small part of their journey.

Matthew 6:5–6 (NLT): 5 “When you pray, don’t be like the hypocrites who love to pray publicly on street corners and in the synagogues where everyone can see them. I tell you the truth, that is all the reward they will ever get. 6 But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Open Gym Tryouts have been rescheduled to Monday October 30th, 6-7:30 @ FBC Barbourville. This is for 5-6th grade girls, 4-5 spots to fill.

We’ll be having open gym evaluations on October 26th, 6-7:30, at FBC Barbourville. We have a few spots to fill, encouraging any high level 5th or 6th grade girls to come out and join us!

Some of them had to leave for the last game so they’re not all pictured, but what a great group of girls. Not only are they a class act and example of sportsmanship, but they brought home the medals today in Pineville! Thank you to coach Strange for organizing a great day of basketball and all the teams who competed.
