2024 season donzo! Running 8th-12th in points for half the season we decided to bring the Honda Talon out and learn the 2nd half the year. We dropped back a bit as we try to figure the car out. Crandon was no exception. Danielle ran it in her season ending event. Then I had my crew swap the intake and exhaust to see how pro stock would treat us. Needless to say, the Honda Talon got a beating this past weekend. 3 practice/qualifying sessions. 4 races(2 in sporty and 2 in pro stock) we are happy to load it back in the trailer in one piece.

With the tight schedule I had to qualify in sportsman trim. I got to hit the track first for practice and quickly found out our shocks were not valved properly for the pure massive size of the jumps in crandon. We were bottoming out over the front stretch on both jumps along with the polaris fly away. We made some adjustments to the max but just still wasn't enough to keep us from landing to hard.

Danielle started the weekend off with finishing 13th and 22nd. I finished 14th and 16th. Not ideal results but without being able to push the car to the max in the fastest parts of the track we will take the learning experience into 2025 when we campaign this Honda all season.

It is with a heavy heart I write this. For the first time since 2004, one of the founding brothers will not be racing. Danielle and I have decided to step away from the sport we love so much. We need to focus on our next steps in building a life together and watching our kids grow. It is bittersweet at the moment. I can't thank the fans, supporters and friends enough..Ya'll made it worth it for all these years. We will be attending Dirt City Race to help out friends.

The rally team will be competing as normal. And I will eventually hand it all over to them. Thank you all once again. Much love and see you around.

Ok, Al and I always talked about this. Getting some cheap shifter karts, tossing dirt tires on doing a series then in winter doing a series. Perhaps we might need to try this one weekend at Chris Puuri place with some hot dogs and adult pops. Or Adam VanDamme and the rabbit farm. I wonder if that would ever catch on up here? For the most part these karts are $750-3000. Could provide cheap entertainment for hours. If there is enough interest we could probably even do a little series for summer, winter combined for a grand winner at the end of the year wins like $2,000 and a crisp high five for being awesome. Let's get do a sample run one weekend.

Made a stop at LSPR to see some of the team and a few other friends. All bittersweet to be honest.

The sisu challenge Al started after our 2017 off road season had a buggy challenge where all the competitors thru in special prizes throughout the ranks from 1st to last that was put on by Mikey V.

Al and I were having some beers and he was telling me about the Maxx attack and how he loved that mini series inside the main series for cash and prizes. Told him set it up either it works or it don't but give it a shot. I even entered a few when I rallied in 2019 for sno drift, sofr and lspr. How many years later this was a amazing year as tons of crews, fans, partners donated. Thank you to everyone who put this on.
