New offering of Pregnancy and Baby–Mom Yoga classes. Susan Sassaman, Kripalu Certified Prenatal and Partner Yoga Teacher, begins ongoing Saturday morning classes, on January 10th.
Classes will be held at 18 Pleasant Street, Pilates Studio, Bar Harbor.
9 to 10:15 Pregnancy Yoga
10:15 to 10:45 Social time for both groups
10:45 to 12:00Baby–Mom Yoga

Pregnancy Yoga Class
Gentle Yoga postures, Breath Work, Pelvic Floor Toning, Visualizations and Relaxation. The class prepares women for birth by tuning into their bodies, developing techniques for labor, and focusing on their unborn child.
Baby–Mom Yoga Class
For Moms: Yoga postures, Breath work, Pelvic Floor Toning, Connecting with and observing Baby, Visualizations and Relaxation.
For Babies: Receiving undivided attention of moms, unrestrained movement on the floor (no positioning babies into yoga postures), and whatever the babies need in the moment for contentment. The class allows new mothers time to take care of themselves and enjoy their infants.
Social Time between classes creates an opportunity to learn from and gain support from, other pregnant women and new mothers. A healthy snack will be provided.
Susan Sassaman has been offering Yoga and Dance classes and workshops for over twenty years in Maine and Vermont. Her Kripalu Yoga Trainings include Let Your Yoga Dance (LYYD), Prenatal Yoga and Partner Yoga.
Susan is also a LifeWays certified Waldorf Early Childhood Teacher. She created and facilitated playgroups for families with children aged birth through three years old over the past fifteen years.
Susan specializes in combining music and movement, working with Chakra energy to give participants a sense of deep release. She works with all age groups, from infants through seniors. Her company New Traditions helps people by bringing inspiration and significance to their workshops, conferences, events, and other celebrations.
