We're back from a fun and successful June show! This one was a little extra special, because not only did we get to support one of our students at her first show, but Carter celebrated her 9th birthday on Saturday! Here are our team's results from the weekend:

🐎 Nick and Fancy had a great, consistent show. They came in 2nd for Cows, and were the Reserve All-Around Champions for the Open division!
🐎 Nick also schooled Butters in the Limited Open, and they snagged a Top 5 spot in Ranch Pleasure
🐎 Kathy had a fantastic introductory show on Butters! They competed in the Novice Rookie division, and had a great time. We're so proud of her for taking this next step! Can't wait to keep watching them grow.
🐎 Leah and Misha had a great time in their Novice Youth division. They placed in the Top 5 for Trail, 3rd for Cows, and landed 3rd in the All-Around too!
🐎 Carter had an awesome first show out of Short Stirrup! She piloted Misha in WSSH's new Youth 8-13 Walk/Trot division, and cleaned up with a 1st place in Reining and Ranch Pleasure, as well as a 2nd place in Trail. This led to them winning the All-Around for her division!

As always, a big thank you to all our crew behind the scenes that make fun weekends like these possible. We're incredibly grateful to be able to take weekends away to enjoy our horses and see all the hard work pay off, both in big and small ways. We can't wait for August!

New year, new show season, and we opened it with a bang! Everyone did so well, and got to show off their hard work from over the winter.

🐎 Nick and Fancy competed in the Limited Open this show, and won 3rd in Trail, landing in the Top 6 in the All-Around!
🐎 Annah took Arthur back into the Limited Open class, and found themselves in the Top 6 for Trail and Pleasure
🐎 Alice and Preacher had their absolute best show yet! Competing in the Limited Amateur (previously known as Non-Pro), they landed in the middle of the pack in Trail and for the All- Around, but more importantly, they put together some wonderfully smooth and consistent runs.
🐎 Phoebe J and Butters were technically competing with the OSU Stockhorse Team, but we got to have them in our stall section like old times! They competed in the Collegiate Novice division, and especially given that Phoebe taking a break from consistent riding to focus on her studies, they seriously crushed it! Earning 2nd place in Reining, 3rd in Pleasure AND trail, and 4th in Cow, they finished 3rd in the All-Around! Phoebe was Stockhorse Club president this year, and put in a ton of work to bring learning and event opportunities to the members. We are so incredibly proud of the amazing and hardworking woman that she's becoming, and loved getting to cheer her on.

Even though our team was slightly on the smaller side this month, and we missed those who couldn't make it, we had such a fun weekend. We can't wait to see everyone again in June!

Our little foaling season has officially come to an end! Annah's mare, Spade, gave us the best Monday morning and finally let us meet her baby. "Kismet" is Spade's first foal, by Here Comes the Boon. We think they knocked it out of the park with this classy little bay filly!

Big thanks to Summit Equine for taking excellent care of mom, baby, and Annah's nerves 😅 We can't wait to see how this kiddo grows up!
