Memorial Day is a time to honor the brave souls who gave everything for our freedom. Their courage allows us to live, work, and play with purpose.

So today, before we jump into the cookouts or long weekend fun, I’m taking a moment to reflect—and I hope you will too.

My 6-week Summer Athlete Training Program is now open for registration, and spots are limited!

This program is built to help athletes improve their:

Whether they play soccer, basketball, field hockey, volleyball, or all of the above—this training will help them show up stronger, more confident, and better prepared for the season ahead.

Schedule:
2–3 sessions/week
Starts: June 30
Location: HA Track
Time: 9:00–10:00 AM

MYTH: Long runs are the best way to build endurance.

Here’s the truth:
If your athlete’s sport requires bursts of speed, quick reactions, and fast recovery (which most do!), long, slow runs aren’t the most effective training.

High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and sport-specific conditioning mimic the real demands of competition—helping athletes improve performance without sacrificing explosiveness.

Parents: If your athlete is logging miles but still gassing out on the court or field, it might be time to switch up the training.

Athletes: Want to get faster and last longer in games? Let’s trade the long jogs for something that works.
