Homeschoolers on the Farm

This is a great one for the younger kids and older kids too!!

Learn about growing food! We will learn about planning a garden, soil nutrients, which plants like to be grown next to each other... and which don't!

Horses and Homeschoolers

Friday we talked about why it's important to do our best to mimic a wild horse's living conditions and then we got to ride!

After riding, we reviewed saddle parts, learned how to clean and condition tack and then talked about horse's body language.

Yesterday was a full morning of learning!

Saying "I love my job" would be an understatement.

Ingrid was so proud of this little student, that she got down on her level to tell her how great she did.

Only for the student to cease the opportunity to take Ingrid by complete surprise and jump into her arms to give her a big hug!

This "horse thing" is about more than just riding.

I love our barn family!! 🥰

We do more than "just" horseback riding lessons here on Ridge Road...

We practice and teach Horsemanship.
We encourage relationships and foster partnership.
We give responsibility.

At this point we don't know who chose who, but Dolly is this student's "care horse" and they make all of us at Ridge Road Equestrian Center smile at how great of a team they are!!
