Congratulations to juniors Emily Conlon and Ella Johnson, who represented John Bapst Memorial High School yesterday at the Beach to Beacon High School Mile! Ella finished 4th and Emily finished 5th in a photo finish.

The Beach to Beacon High School Mile is a showcase race for Maine's top high school athletes (graduation classes of 2027-2030), giving student athletes the opportunity to interact with elite athletes. The one-mile course runs two laps through Fort Williams on a mix of trails and paved paths.

Great work, Crusaders!

Five proud Crusaders at the 2026 Maine Shrine Lobster Bowl Classic. 🦞🏈

Congratulations to Athletic Director and head football coach Dan O'Connell, who led the East squad as head coach. Congratulations also to Brighton Chung, who represented the Crusaders as an East cheerleader. And congratulations to players Zach Gaudette, Aiden Ouellette, and Brody Schroeher for earning their spots on the East roster.

Being selected for the Lobster Bowl means being recognized as one of the best in the state, and all five of these Crusaders earned that honor. But the game is about more than football. Since 1990, the Lobster Bowl has raised money every year for Shriners Children's, a network of nonprofit hospitals that treat kids with orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip and palate, regardless of a family's ability to pay. Every player and cheerleader fundraises as part of earning their spot on the roster, and this year's game set a new single-year record, raising over $300,000, the most in the event's history.

Thank you to all five of you for representing John Bapst so well, on the field and off. Go Crusaders! 💜

We'd like to congratulate the Outdoor Track team on a fantastic spring season!

Hadley Oliver (Sr.) - PVC Champion in both discus and shot put (4th and 2nd at States). Her discus throw of 122-2 broke a 43-year-old PVC meet record!

Maddie Allen (Soph.) - 4th in Triple Jump and 7th in Long Jump at PVCs; 8th and 9th at States in a highly competitive field.

The season isn't over - both 4x800m relays, Evan Babcock, and Hadley Oliver have all qualified for the New England Championships this Saturday at Noble High School in North Berwick, ME!

We are so proud of every athlete on this team - for their results, their work ethic, their improvement, and the kindness and respect they showed each other and their competitors all season. They are an incredible group of student-athletes!
