Had an amazing family outing at Rose River Farm today.

The day started of cold and windy but evolved into a beautiful day.

Marlyn, Mike - Grant, Will, Mia joined Gary and I to fly fish on the Rose River!

We had a blast!

Caught more fish than I could keep track of!

Best fly combo was an Elk Hair Caddis with a small Zebra nymph.

Grant caught a Rainbow, a Brown and a Brookie making him eligible for The Virginia Trout Slam (or "trifecta") which is a challenge to catch all three species of trout—Brook, Rainbow, and Brown—in a single day!

Had an amazing day guiding Terry and his grandson at Rose River Farm!

We lost count on the number of Rainbows caught and Terry pulled in a large Brown trout from pool 1!

They were hitting small nymph and egg patterns today!

Best combo was a dry dropper with rainbow warrior and zebra midge.

Looking forward to fishing with Terry and Gavin in the future!

Yesterday, Bryant and Jen had a great day guiding on the Rose River here in Syria, VA yesterday!

They used black woolly buggers and nymphs to get some amazing rainbows.

Today is snowing ❄️ again but the river looks great!

Todd was able to catch 8 trout in the morning and had a great time.

Bryant and I hit the 25th Annual Virginia Fly Fishing & Wine Festival in Doswell, VA.

It was a great show and we were glad to run into our friends the Chesapeake Women’s Anglers who we guided at Rose River Farm a short time ago!

Bought fly tying stuff and drooled over the latest equipment.

The show is still going on and is open on Saturday! Don’t miss it.

The best fly of the day was a BH purple paragon size 18 hung off of a dropper.

Can’t wait to do it again!

Had another amazing day on the Rose River with Dan! The water was just right after the recent raines but it was very cold!

As the morning progressed, the rainbow started hitting San Juan Worms and an occasional small dry fly.

Can’t wait to get back on the river again!
