It's that time again! Team registration is now officially open for the 2026 IAFF MDA Softball Tournament, benefiting the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).

Gather your team and join firefighters, friends, and supporters from across the region for an exciting weekend of softball, camaraderie, and fundraising in support of MDA's mission to empower people living with neuromuscular diseases.

It is with profound sadness that Baltimore Firefighters IAFF Local 734 announce the passing of active member Firefighter Timothy Spielman, a member of Engine Company 20.

Brother Spielman joined the Baltimore City Fire Department on August 13, 2003, and served the citizens of Baltimore with courage, professionalism, and dedication throughout his career. His loss is deeply felt throughout our firehouse family and across the Baltimore City Fire Department. Timothy was more than a firefighter, he was a brother, a friend, and someone who answered the call to serve others every single day.

On behalf of the Executive Board and membership of Baltimore Firefighters IAFF Local 734, we extend our deepest condolences to the Spielman family, his brothers and sisters at Engine 20, Truck 18, Medic 8, and all who knew and loved him.

Please keep Timothy’s family and our members in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest easy, Brother. We have the watch from here.

While the end result wasn't exactly how we envisioned the tournament going, a great time was had out in Las Vegas at the National Fallen Firefighters softball tournament.

Proud of the team for competing every game and representing the BCFD with pride. Now we focus on the season at home and look forward to the future tournaments we're participating in.

Unfortunately our tournament has ended with a tough 15-10 loss to West Pierce. The team went 4-2 in the tournament and set a great starting point to build off of for the rest of the 2026 season.

Thank you to everyone for your support in the off season with our fundraisers. Your support helps us cover costs for expenses incorporated with out of state tournament ball.

We'll see you all at the next tournament!

Big Bounce back win for the team this morning defeating Corpus Christi and moving on in the bracket.

Next up will be the winner of West Pierce vs West Chester at 10 am. Let's go Baltimore!

Team had a tough loss against North Texas this evening and will look to back bounce tomorrow morning at 8am against Corpus Christi.

Your Baltimore Fire Softball team so far is 3-0 with wins over Hawaii Fire, Oakland Fire and Waco Fire.

Our next game is at 4pm (pacific time) against North Texas.
