Let's talk about restrictive eating🧆
I'm going to drop a couple statements and I want you to gauge how they make you feel....
1 - If you're "on a diet" you're actually moving further away from your health goals.
2 - If you "need to go on a diet" you're probably not ever going to reach your health goals.
WHY THO🤔
Because diets infer temporary shifts. Temporary shifts are intended to get you a temporary external shift. Typically they bust up your mental health in the process.
I'm not here to advocate for stagnation and not taking action.... Quite the contrary. I'm here to advocate for real change.
But dudes.
Real change is a shift of MIND. It is a shift of BEING. It is not a juice cleanse or a raw diet or a bout of intermittent fasting.
There is a time and a place for diets. I highly recommend going and checking out 's account and checking out what she's doing with AIP.
Pointed. Intentional. Strategic. Intended to solve a problem that will get her back to high performance..... But she's already locked down how to effectively eat for them GAINS, so she can leverage dieting as a tool to reach the next level.
99% of y'all trying to do diets are trying to get out of stagnation and start seeing progress.
YOU DO NOT NEED A DIET// YOU NEED A RADICAL CHANGE OF MIND🤯🤯🤯🤯
I eat whatever I want, when I want because I have shifted in WHAT I want.

The better you get, the more accountability you start to take on🦸🏽‍♀️🦸🏼‍♂️🦸
Why? Because you understand that mankind's only battle is WITHIN.
We have two minds:
The infinite mind sees no limitation. It can concieve of anything and everything within imagination... And if it remains in resonance long enough, that which is brought forth imagination can be brought forth in material reality.
The ego mind is obsessed with physical validation. It perceives the three-dimensional world as the be-all-end-all, and it's sole focus is to avoid physical threat.
When we're moving towards our goals, these two minds are in constant battle. One is intent on helping us materialize victory, while one sees progress and transition as something to be cautious against.
By leveraging the power of more than just one conscious mind, we can overcome obstacles and eliminate blocks that come in the form of our own fears and doubts.

I've been going deep on my own inner work... Analyzing my tendencies And where my boundaries are being neglected//where they're being too resistant. I allow myself to release control, and simultaneously reinforce my worth and reaffirm my confidence.

Alright dudes and dudettes and non-conforming peeps, quick Saturday morning fitness tip for ya💪
Rushing through movements does nothing. There are circumstances in which leveraging flow to complete a movement is beneficial for your sport.
That's not really what I'm focusing on here. This is just a tip regarding building muscle and increasing your endurance. Most of the time, we're focused on just doing more reps or increasing weight. In my opinion however, the ultimate measure of strength is your ability to really control a movement at the level of "difficulty" You're working with now.

It's the difference between a standard pull-up, and the CrossFit kipping pull-up. One is actually a true measurement of your body's capacity to pull you vertically straight up from the ground. Another is an example of how likely you are to be a dolphin in the next life.
In the words of one of my good friends , "bigger muscles are just built by hitting more angles."
By the same token, true strength is measured by your ability to control movement and force at a specific level of difficulty.
Want to make gains?
-Stop air hu***ng with two plates on the bar. Cut the weight in half, into a full range of motion squat at half speed.
-Don't flounder 17 dolphin-ups where your head never reaches the bar. Put some resistance bands around your feet and the bar, and do one slow pull up with good technique.
Master the movement, master your body🏋️‍♀️

Inner PEACE is closer than you think🧘‍♂️
This morning I was going IN on the concept of the EMPOWERED vs. the DISEMPOWERED state with (And by the way HUGE CONGRATULATIONS for signing up with me. MIND/BODY/SPIRIT GAINS LOADING)
I personally didn't dive deep into self-help until I really had to. I think a lot of you can probably relate to that. For most of my life, I had a leg up that I didn't even recognize.
My mother is a meditation instructor. My father is a Tai chi instructor. Both of them had a deep interest in eastern philosophies and spiritualities, with whatever more "applicable" Western approaches you could think of. On top of this, a lot of my friends as a kid got into deep spiritual concepts such as the all-permeating "one-ness" of consciousness and lucid dreaming and such SUPER young. Im talking 12/13 years old.
I ain't even see bo***es before I saw source.
.
Even so, it wasn't until I went through period of massive LOSS that I realized I needed to start applying this stuff.....
And the application process was one that, looking back, runs parallel to most: confusion, disappointment, self doubt, onward and etc.
The magical "climax" of this tale doesn't really exist. It definitely got easier. I learned a lot about myself, and the mechanics of the universe. I learned how to find my internal locus of control, and create a sense of balance and genuine self love on a daily basis. I learned how to manage my inner conversation so I could remain in an EMPOWERED state consistently, and when I did enter the disempowered state... I could take the information I needed to better myself, and I had the tools to quickly and easily step back into the empowered state.
Time and continued commitment to this. I have a three-step process that I use with myself and my clients to create this kind of inner success predictably, But the bottom line of this is there is one ultimate step that's going to determine whether you achieve your goals (literally whatever they are) or not: Do not give up.
