Coach Becky: This year was all about getting back to baseline and moving forward after a challenging 2024. Over the past 18 months, Becky has overcome two brain surgeries, a whirlwind of life and family changes, and a tough return to endurance sports marked by pneumonia, the flu, COVID, and a hip injury from inconsistent training because of all of the above. Exactly one year ago on Eagleman race day, she was in an MRI, monitoring a CSF leak. Yesterday, she crossed the finish line with a course PR of 6:05:13, perfectly hitting her âback to baselineâ goal. Huge win!
Jacob Brandt: Last year, Jacob took on Eagleman uncoached and without much of a plan. Heâs always been a strong runner but was pulled from the bike course after missing a time cutoff. This year, Jacob came back prepared. He crushed a tough swim, rode strong on the bike, and finished with a half marathon PR â after swimming 1.2 miles and biking 56! Finish time: 6:10:24. What a comeback!
Abe Lin: Abe, a solid runner, just started multi-sport training about six months ago. He was nervous about the swim but pushed through â including a whole lot of jellyfish stings â had a great ride, and finished strong on the run. Heâs now a first-time Eagleman finisher with a time of 7:16:56. Congrats, Abe! đ
