When pursuing a fat loss journey, I know many people judge the scale as an ultimate indicator of progress. But I am here to tell you to focus on other aspects of fitness or Non-Scale Victories (NSV)!
What are NSV you might ask? Great question!
That is any progress outside of the scale meaning:
Did you lose inches?
Do you have more energy?
Do you get less out of breath when you go walking or play with kids or grandkids?
Is it easier to pick stuff up than usual?
Did you get in more average steps than before?
Do you sleep better?
Do you beat yourself up less than before for eating "bad food"?
Did you life heavier weight than last time? Or lift same weight but with more reps?
So instead of stressing over the scale number which ultimately measures, where, bones, muscle, organs, clothing and yes⦠some fat, focus on these other aspects of health and fitness. Its much less stressful :)
